Land art at monumental scale—temporary designs created with sand, clay, and other natural materials. Based in Nevada City, California.

From my Instagram feed:

‘Warped Fields’, 2009. San Francico, CA

This artwork was made during my exploration of process art-making in which conditions are created and then the artwork is allowed to reveal itself rather than being a product of my control. I love Free Public Event + Workshop | San Francisco

I’m hosting a free, drop-in art experience on the beach this Saturday (4/25) from 12–2 PM. I bring the rakes and the theme for the artwork. No experience needed. These gatherings have been dra Outdoors is mainly where I envision my works residing, weathering in the elements.

Carvings on salvaged wood, responding to the irregularities and unique shape of each ‘canvas.’ I don’t have interior space for a workshop, so all th I created this piece as a gift on my birthday to the community land where I live. Many years later, those same patterns became 3D kinetic sculptures, using string instead of lines. All o A selection of images from this past weekend's public participation event and beach art workshop.

The next workshop is April 25. See my bio for the registration link. Spirit & Matter I, 2015, San Francisco, CA

This piece was created as a demonstration artwork and drew a huge crowd to watch its creation. I brought together the two areas I was actively exploring- the flower represents spirit and is made with th ‘Connections’
